Mechanical operation
The chamber is loaded via a front-end loader and
silage grab through two open top doors, then packed into the main
compression chamber until sufficient resistance develops, it is
then compacted from both ends.
Experience tells me that only about half the imposed pressure
will reach the far end of a two meter bale, but with increasing
friction resulting from increased pressure, it is likely that
the new pressures from the other end could be as much as 70-80%
